We require the prior written consent of the client, as outlined in the Consent Clause during the loan acquisition process.

This information may also be obtained from third parties such as financial institutions, credit bureaus, and fraud prevention agencies. Additionally, we may collect data based on your interactions with us or third parties, subject to your prior written consent—unless disclosure is required by a court of law or necessary to verify your financial standing with the Bank of Mozambique Risk Register Bureau (Central de Registo do Banco de Moçambique), in accordance with the Consent Clause provided in the account opening process.

How Do We Use Your Information?

Personal information collected by ServCred Microbanco may be used for the following purposes:

  • Providing banking products and services.
  • Making lending decisions.
  • Detecting and preventing fraud and other crimes.
  • Conducting audits and debt collection.
  • Performing statistical analysis.
  • Meeting contractual and legal obligations.

 

We may also use biometric data, such as voice recognition, for identification purposes. Additionally, we may record and monitor communications between you and us to:

  • Verify your instructions.
  • Assess and improve our services.
  • Conduct training and quality assurance.

 

ServCred Microbanco will never sell your personal information to third parties and will only engage in direct marketing with your explicit consent. Marketing communications will be sent through email, SMS, or other preferred channels, as authorized by you. If no electronic communication preferences are provided, we will use paper-based communication methods.
